What's Your View?

Hey, everyone, it's Sammy. In Faith's last entry, one commenter said she believed that tooth fairies are mind-controllers. She said that Ned has been controlling Mom to believing that she was the tooth fairy. That made me wonder. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I want all of you to comment on your views of:
The Tooth Fairy
Magic
Evil Witches
The Easter Bunny
Cupid
and anything else you can think of that will be interesting! We can see exactly how many different views there are of all these things and more! It's a COMMENTFEST!!!!! Come on, you have an imagination, right?

On a completely unrelated subject, one day a few weeks ago, I was walking down a hall in my house when I saw a manuscript sitting on the kitchen table. Now, you should know, I'm playing Oliver in my school's production of Oliver Twist, so I have to be sneaky, you know, learning to pick pockets and all. I grabbed the manuscript and slowly started to read as quietly as a mouse (I hate that expression, because mice can squeak, unlike a mime.).

So there I was, reading quietly as a mime... The title was Ivy and Clay, Mom's long forgotten book. It wasn't a full manuscript, only a few chapters. I read, and read, and read. Can someone say 'pageturner?' Literally five seconds after I finished, Mom came into the room. She was all "Sam, were you reading my manuscript?" and I was all "Maybe I was, and maybe I wasn't."

She found out I was. I told her " Mom, that manuscript is so good, it sounds like a real author wrote it!"

She thought that was pretty funny. That's when she told me that the manuscript was from two years ago. Wow.

But, that's not the subject of this blog entry. The subject is telling us your views on the things above or anything else. Please, please, send in your comments. This is Sammy signing out.

Sammy, I'll get things started...

The Tooth Fairy: Okay, maybe Ned is controlling my mind. Who knows?

Magic: Absolutely. I see it everyday.

Evil Witches: Evil people, yes. (Stay away from them.) Evil witches? Only in books and movies.

The Easter Bunny: Can someone please explain that to me? Is the Easter Bunny supposed to lay eggs? What does it have to do with Easter? I've always been confused about that.

Cupid: Oh definitely! How else do you explain that weak knees melty heart feeling of being in love?

Meanwhile, I'm taking IVY AND CLAY with me on my writing retreat this weekend. I hope to figure out the plot!!! You guys better be good for Daddy while I'm gone! Love you!

"as quietly as a mime" Hilarious! You made me laugh, Sammy - this is a great entry.

Re: Easter Bunnies. So embarrassing. I agree, Brenda Ferber, they make no sense whatsoever. I believe it's a throwback to the many pagan traditions that influenced organized religion. Bunnies, eggs - symbols of fertility. Religion - didn't mention fertility, in my experience. So instead, we get bunnies laying eggs. Magic? Not really. The magic you inquire about Sammy, is definitely real and better than bunnies.

Hi Sammy--what a great post. I believe in magic so therefore I do believe in the spirit of the tooth fairy, easter bunny and santa.

Evil witches? I think some people ACT like that.
Cupid, not so sure.

Come see my little boy's story if you are interested!
