Great Books to Read!
We're SO sorry we haven't been posting. With play practice, homework, hebrew school, hanging with friends, guitar, and talking to girls (for me), and swim practice, homework, hanging with friends, managing to keep a social life, and parties (for Faith), we haven't really had a lot of spare time! But I'm happy to announce that we are back on top! "People" have asked us to talk more about the books we read when there is nothing going on about Mom. Here's how the conversation went:
Me: Boy, I just read a really good book!
Anonymous: Why don't you blog about it?
Me: Well... it doesn't really have to do with Blogging for Mom.
Anonymous: SAMUEL AARON FERBER! You have not blogged for a month. Perhaps you might want to blog right now??!!
(Can you guess who I'm talking to?)
Me: But you know how much stuff I'm doing lately!
Anonymous: (rolls eyes)
Me: I'll be right on it.
So that's how I got here. I've been reading lots of good books lately. Here's a few of them:
The Wall and the Wing by Laura Ruby
The Chaos King (sequel to The Wall and the Wing by Laura Ruby)
The Schwa was Here by Neil Shusterman
Flyte by Angie Sage
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick
East by Edith Pattou
Adam Canfield of the Slash by Michael Winerip
and more! I'd love to hear what books you have read and really enjoyed!

Glad you are back! Your readers are really out here, checking your blog, and we miss you when you're gone. :)
Hmmmmmm..... I can't imagine who anonymous is! LOL :-). Sammy you are one funny writer. Thanks for getting back on the blog. You made my morning.
Love,
Aunt Micky
PS- I heard you were awesome in Joseph! Can't wait to see you Friday!
I loved 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr.
Hope you get a chance to check them out. Oh, they're YA, so check with your mom first ~ KYM
May I just say that one of the things I love about Sammy (and Faith and Jacob) is that I often have to tell them to STOP READING! You know as a mom you're going to tell your kids to turn off the TV and the computer and the video games... that goes with the territory. But it really gives me a thrill when I see my kids engrossed in a book. So even though I sometimes take those books away until they finish their homework, clean their room, or whatever... I am secretly very pleased!

Hi Sammy,
This is cousin Chava from Israel. I just read your blog and wanted to thank you for sharing your reading list. I am always on the lookout for books for my guys, but I don't know what they would like. It's great to get your 6th grade opinion.
I'll try and order them something from your list and hopefully, someone that is coming for Jakey's Bar Mitzvah will bring to us.
Love,
Cousin Chava
